Bentonville Health and Wellness Campus Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the campus located?

The campus will be located on a 100-acre site approximately two miles east of downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. The initial phase is located in the north portion of the acreage, accessible through Central Avenue and McCollum Drive, and adjacent to Interstate 49.

What will be on the new campus?

During the first phase, we are building the Center for Advanced Specialty Care, a parking garage, and a central utility building.

What is the status on tree removal and site preparation?

As early site work begins, a limited number of trees will be removed to support the early phases of construction. Where possible, trees are being salvaged, with usable material repurposed and remaining material processed into mulch. This work is being conducted with care and in coordination with site and safety requirements as the project moves forward. As development continues, future phases will include new trees and landscape elements introduced over time, supporting the long-term vision for a campus designed around nature, sustainability, and whole-person health.

Who is involved in the construction project?

The Alice L. Walton Foundation’s current work with CannonDesign and EDSA is focused on an initial phase of the Bentonville Health and Wellness Campus to include the Center for Advanced Specialty Care, a parking garage, and a central utility building as well as extensive landscape, gardens, trails, and grounds. Arkansas-based Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects will work with CannonDesign as local architects of record. Additional contractors include: Flintco Construction (Construction Manager); Nabholz (Large Scale Campus Development); and Walter P. Moore (Civil Engineering).

What happens to the church on the property?

Catalyst Church is expanding and constructing a building on a new location on Central Avenue. We’ve worked closely with Catalyst Church throughout this process and will continue to do so until they move into their new facility.
